River levels have risen sharply, with some waterways increasing by as much as <strong>11 metres<\/strong>. At least <strong>19 monitoring stations across 13 rivers<\/strong> recorded water levels above warning thresholds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">China has activated a <strong>Level-IV emergency response<\/strong> for flooding and typhoon threats in Guangxi, Guangdong and Hainan, with rescue teams and relief supplies deployed to vulnerable areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Typhoon Narra, identified as the <strong>19th typhoon of China\u2019s 2026 season<\/strong>, has remained over the Beibu Gulf, bringing intense rainfall to southern China.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Authorities are warning of <strong>more heavy rain through Wednesday<\/strong>, raising concerns about further flooding and potential landslides in affected areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Emergency teams remain on standby as officials monitor river levels and continue evacuation, rescue and relief operations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Severe flooding has hit parts of southern China\u2019s Guangxi region after torrential rain linked to Typhoon Narra forced tens of thousands of residents from their homes.
