Fast & Furious Star Tyrese Gibson Arrives in Uganda for Coffee and Tourism Experience

American R&B singer and Hollywood actor Tyrese Gibson has arrived in Uganda, where his visit is expected to spotlight the country’s coffee industry, tourism and cultural heritage.

Gibson, best known for playing Roman Pearce in the Fast & Furious franchise and for roles in Transformers and Baby Boy, touched down in Uganda this morning ahead of a series of activities linked to the country’s growing coffee and tourism initiatives.

During his stay, Gibson is expected to experience some of the destinations and people shaping Uganda’s coffee story, including Kampala, the Source of the Nile, coffee farms and the Africa Coffee Park in Ntungamo.

His visit comes ahead of the Africa Coffee Marathon and Coffee Concert, with Gibson scheduled to headline the October 3 event at the Africa Coffee Park in Ntungamo.

Organisers hope his international profile will help draw global attention to Uganda’s coffee sector while showcasing the country as a destination for tourism, culture and unique travel experiences.

The visit adds to Uganda’s efforts to position its coffee not only as a major export, but also as part of the country’s identity, heritage and tourism story. Uganda recently launched its first national coffee brand, “Uganda Coffee: It’s in Our Nature,” as part of efforts to strengthen the country’s global coffee identity.

Gibson’s arrival therefore comes at a time when Uganda is increasingly using coffee, culture, entertainment and tourism to tell its story to international audiences.
